Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma,BCCI and Captaincy these for words overshadowed the on-field cricket. BCCI remove Virat Kohli from the ODI captaincy on 8 Dec 2021 and Rohit Sharma appointed as the captain of ODI cricket and then DADA(Sourav Ganguly) toled to the press that we did not wanted Virat to resign from the captaincy of t20 cricket but Virat Kohli did't listen to him. BCCI don't want to split the captaincy in limited over format so they appointed Rohit Sharma as the ODI captains after the t20 captaincy. Then there was rumors that Virat will not play in one day international (ODI),then it was cleared by Virat Kohli himself that he will play the ODI cricket on South Africa tour 2021-22.
There are many question yet to answered but it's not first controversy es between BCCI and players for captaincy Sunil Gavaskar, CK Naydu, Sachin Tendulkar like players already gone threw this.
CK Naydu vs Vizianagaram : CK Naydu Indian first test captain, fantastic batsman played till the age of 68 more then 12000 runs and 400+ wickets, he played 7 test matches for India and scored 2 half-centuries. Vizianagaram first official captain but in the game he is not even close to the Naydu, Vizianagaram was the most controversial captain he played only 3 test matches he was the captain in all the 3 matches, he was captained India 1936 tour of England. Rumors are that he was not qualified as captain but he was from royal family that's way he was appointed as captain.
S. Vankataraghavan : It is the most interesting story in cricket history. He was informed in the flight.In 1974 appointed as the captain of Indian cricket team for 2 test matches and team lost the both the matches,and he captained team India only in ODI till 1979 and Sunil Gavasker lead the team India for the test.
Sunil Gaveskar : In the 80's Captaincy was the major issue in the Indian cricket,the captaincy revolving between Kapil Dev and Sunil Gavasker in 1985 Sunil Gavasker resigned from captaincy due the behavior of the BCCI. He was the winner of Champion of Champions trophy.
Sachin Tendulkar : It was same like Virat kohli in 1997 after the series against Sri Lanka Sachin removed from the Captaincy without telling the reason behind this and Sachin was very angry with this decision.He wrote in his book PLAY IT ON MY WAY that they removed me from the captaincy without call they, I got the information form the media and I was feeling very humiliating and he told himself that BCCI can pluck captaincy but not my cricket.
Sourav Ganguly : The well known Controversy between Greg Chappell and Sourav Ganguly, in year 2005 on the Zimbabwe tour during the net practice Chappell told to Sourav Ganguly that he will prefer Yuvraj Singh or Md. Kaif in place of him and ganguly got very angry and start packing then after some efforts from Rahul Dravid and Amitabh Choudhry Ganguly agrees to stay and he played the next match and score 101 and told in the media that he is pressurizing to quit the captaincy.
