For England Good news is that Ben stokes is back but he did not play too much cricket in last 6 months.No Jofra and Anderson also unavailable for the first test due injures but thats not will be the worries for joe Root and team management except Root there is no other batter who can give confidence in this batting lineup stocks is there but he is coming from a very long brake so there batting will revolve around Root.
Pat was the vice captain and now promoted as captain i think they go with good choice because everyone in the team love and respect him and he performed well in last few well in last few year.
